Reducing Our Environmental Footprint

Milliken’s floorcovering businesses have reduced their overall footprint an
astounding 85% in less than 20 years, and we’ve done it while at the same time,
increasing production.

Cutting where it counts:

• Energy & water consumption by more than half since 1995
• Emissions by 22% over 3 years (Milliken & Company worldwide)
• Packaging reductions, saved 100 million lbs of cardboard to date


Increasing choices that make sense:

• Getting 10% of our power from our own hydroelectric plants
• Receiving more than 80% of the harvested methane from LaGrange, GA landfill
• Using waste water treatment biosolids as a fuel source


Milliken products are scrutinized using Life Cycle Analysis before they make it past
the drawing board — a process that’s led to innovation after innovation. All our
manufacturing plants are ISO 14001 certified.
